Karate Training for Tiny Tigers Age 5-7

We have added a second tiny tigers class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 6:15 pm.

For younger children the approach is age appropriate, so grading is not stressed. Classes focus on developing coordination, strength and concentration skills. The age range for this class runs from 5-7 years old. Children learn their basic techniques and katas in a fun, encouraging atmosphere.

In our school we closely follow the training methodology set out in Karate Canada's Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) program. This ensures that students get age-appropriate training designed to help them achieve the best they can, both mentally and physically.

Students take home a weekly duties sheet that encourages them to help with household chores and do their schoolwork. This is signed by a parent and is returned weekly. This helps develop self discipline.

Parents may use our gym at no cost while their children are training.

Classes are held twice a week and are 45 minutes instead of the standard hour of training. There is a Monday-Wednesday and a Tuesday-Thursday session.
