Shirol Bellman

Shirol Bellman started her Martial Arts training in 1993, when she was 5 years old. She trained under Sensei Brad Jones.

Shirol successfully passed her Shodan with Sensei Jones in 2004. In 2006 she passed her Nidan, and was successfully passed to the rank of Sandan in 2010. Shirol has also graded to the rank of Nidan under the JKA standards administered by Sensei Saeki.

Shirol has competed since she was 6, representing Brad Jones Karate-do and Ontario at many Nationals throughout the years. Shirol has had to put a temporary hiatus on Tournaments, and has focused her attentions elsewhere.

Over the years, Shirol has also had the privilege of training with many talented Karate-Ka, both at the dojo and at seminars. She wishes to continue to experience all the various instructors and absorb all they have to offer.

One of Shirol's favourite things to do right now is teach the Kids classes on Monday and Wednesdays. She is also the instructor for the Monday and Wednesday Tiny Tiger program at 5:30. She feels that the Kids are so rewarding, and loves watching them improve, and achieve things that they never thought they could.
