Sempai Nemecz
I was born in Hungary. My first brief encounter with karate happened in the early eighties in a small but enthusiastic dojo in the Hungarian Capital, Budapest. It is where the seeds of my dedication to martial arts were planted.
Work and family related activities put a temporary halt to my training. More than a decade slipped by and the early nineties welcomed me in my new home country, Canada.
For my biggest delight in 1993 I discovered Sensei Brad Jones dojo in Newmarket, where I train ever since. Sensei and his devoted instructors guided me through my Kyu tests and prepared me for the "big step" – which is truly the "first step" – the Dan grading.
I cannot say it was an easy road for me. The failed attempts really challenged my self esteem. To keep trying and never giving up and at the end succeeding taught me a life lesson. I realized that with hard work and dedication I am capable to conquer the most daring challenges life throws at me.
The benefits of my training influenced every aspect of my life. I participated in several karate seminars in Canada, Europe and Japan held by well known karate legends. I was graded for Nidan by Asai Sensei. I ran a successful business for 15 years. The spiritual path I am taking brought some light to the real meaning of our own existence and showed me the way to connect with the power within.
Now I am an instructor myself and very excited to guide others on their journey to success and make sure they gain as much with their training as I did. |
